Does ShopPress change my images without asking?

No. The audit only reads. Every fix shows a preview first, and you choose what to apply. Every change can be undone, and restore points are made before every bulk change.

Does it change my product titles or descriptions?

The image tools change only image alt text, image files (tidy, with the original kept) and which photo a variant shows. Plugins can change more, but only what you write or install, and only with your approval.

Do you use AI on my content?

No. ShopPress's own checks and fixes are rules and image measurements. You can connect your own AI through MCP if you want to.

Will it slow down my store?

No. ShopPress runs in your admin. The theme blocks are small and load after the page. Shopify serves the images as before (WebP or AVIF in the right size for each visitor).

What happens when I uninstall?

The app stops at once and its access ends. Shopify then asks us to delete your store's data (within 48 hours), and we delete everything: audits, history, restore points, kept originals, plugins and tokens. Changes already made to your store stay as they are, so undo them before uninstalling if you want them gone.

Is my data safe?

ShopPress stores only what it needs: image facts, change history, your settings and plugins. It asks for no customer data. Plugin secrets are encrypted. MCP tokens are stored only as hashes. Each store's data is kept apart, and plugins can never reach another store.

Can plugins break my store?

A plugin can do what its code says, within the permissions you granted. That's why you test first (dry run), every run is logged, deleting needs explicit permission, plugins that keep failing pause themselves, and Turn off stops a plugin at once.

I have Shopify Plus. What's extra?

Plugins can use Plus-only Shopify features (for example B2B companies and catalogs). sp.shop.plus tells a plugin whether the store is on Plus. The gallery's B2B companies report is an example.
